Speaking on Thursday at Safari Park during One Kenya Alliance (OKA) luncheon with Mount Kenya Foundation, the former presidential candidate added that every presidential aspirant in the coming polls must be given an equal opportunity to woo voters and face each other on the ballot.
"We are willing Raila to be our president tomorrow if the programme is fair. You must also be willing to make Mudavadi, Gideon or Kalonzo to be a president’s tomorrow because each one of them must be treated equally and fairly. Msikuje na preferred candidate, mtaaribu (Do not come with a preferred aspirant, you will spoil everything," said Jirongo.
Today's meeting comes almost two weeks after the group met with the former Prime Minister, in a luncheon that seemed to be an endorsement of Raila's presidential bid.
A section of leaders from Mt Kenya, and who are allied to President Uhuru Kenyatta's wing affirmed that they will be looking for a leader who will ensure all their needs are sorted.
