Joe Biden Makes His Stand on Kenya's Elections After Uhuru Received High Profile Phone Call From USA

Information has surfaced about a phone contact between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Joe Biden's top adviser in the US. A story claims the two had an in-depth conversation about this month's approaching general election. Uhuru Kenyatta got a phone call from Secretary of State Antony Blinken in which he communicated Joe Biden's position on the upcoming August 9 General Elections, according to US Department of State information.

According to additional information, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in the phone call that holding the elections on August 9 in a fair and free environment was smart for all elective seats. Deputy President William Ruto has expressed his reservations about the fairness of the elections, but the results have been announced nevertheless.

It is critical that Kenya's elections be free and fair, peaceful, and reflective of the will of the people," US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a statement.
