For months now Raila Odinga has been on Ruto’s neck asking him to declare his stand on the BBI and stop speaking from his two sides of the mouth. In fact while addressing a congregation in Turkana a few weeks ago, Raila Odinga challenged the Deputy President to lead the No campaign if he was dissatisfied with the BBI proposal.
Today, Deputy President reiterated that he will lead a no campaign on the document which has so far been adopted by over forty three counties. Ruto reiterated that he will abide with what decision is made if he clinches the presidency in 2022.
Ruto was categorical that those challenging him to oppose the document will be met with a rude shock because he will play to their cards. He was speaking in Kapsabet, Nandi County where he was visiting after the county floored the document making it the second county in the country to reject the document.
