According to Chama Cha Kazi Secretary General Kochei Albert said Isaac Ruto a week ago the former governor was unwell for the past week.
"I wish to notify the members of the public that H.E. Isaac Kiprono Ruto felt ill on Tuesday 9th August 2022 and was airlifted to Nairobi Hospital by Amref Flying Doctors. H.E Isaac Ruto had been unwell for the past one week due to acute flu which necessitated immediate evacuation from Bomet for thorough medical attention. The doctor's report indicates that he is on a road to recovery and we expect him to be discharged anytime from today.
H.E. Isaac Ruto, regrets that he is not able to be with his supporters during this crucial moment of vote counting. He wishes to assure them that he will be back soon.
He wishes to thank his family and supporters for their moral support and in a special way thank Amref Flying Doctors for their prompt evacuation response.
