Jessica Nduku Kiko Mbalu is serving her second term as a member of parliament for Kibwezi east Makueni county.
The 45-year-old woman is a true definition of a typical Kamba woman, smart and beautiful.
For the looks, you need eyes to see and speaking of brains she graduated from the University of Nairobi with a Ph.D. in strategic management.
Before joining politics in 2013 she volunteered as a lecturer at Catholic University.
She is married to a judge, Justice Mutava Mbalu and they are blessed with two boys.
The lawmaker was once accused of benefiting from favors to have her husband deliver a favorable ruling.
This is after one of the people accusing the judge of taking bribes claimed that Jessica introduced her to the husband.
In 2013 a mix-up in parliamentary cardinal directions affected Mbalu.
She sought for it to be known that she was not involved in the kissing reference in the assembly.
However,r it had something to do with Kibwezi west MP Patrick Musimba and a mix-up could have painted a bad picture of her to her constituents.
Musimba was receiving congratulatory features from colleagues after successful reelection following a by-election.
