About a week ago, the NCIC took to the press to ban the using of certain words by polotocians while they are campaigning. Among the words commonly used are 'hatupangwingwi' by William Ruto and 'Vijana Fire' by Raila Odinga. William Ruto was the first to come out and deferred the measures by posting the 'hatupangwingwi' video clip in his social media accounts.

Today, the 16th of April 2022, Raila Odinga while commenting the clean up exercise currently undergoing in Korogocho. He started by saying 'Vijana Fire' the same term or word that was banned by NCIC. It seems he was also against the banning of the words.
