The race to succeed Homa-bay county outgoing governor Hon. Cyprian Awiti is getting tighter day by day, The race that is expected to be between the two main contenders, Former Nairobi Governor Dr. Evance Kidero and Former member of parliament Kasipul Constituency Hon. Oyugi Magwangwa.

Both Magwanga and Kidero Have Intensified their campaigns with everyone determine to win the hearts of the residents of Homabay county, Magwanga today was in Rangwe Sub-County the home of the Former Governor Kidero,Magwanga commisioned a couple of and urged the residents to give him a chance to serve them as the county governor, he maintained that his interest is to make the lives of the people of Homay comfortable.

Among the pledges Magwanga has been giving the Homabay are; Proper healthcare, clean and safe water, food security, good roads, employment oppertunities for the young people amongst others.

while in Rangwe, Magwanga wondered how ''Those'' who were entrusted with power betraayed the citizens and looted everything, he wondered how they will now deliver given an opportunity in Homabay County, this was an indirect attack to the former Nairobi Governor who was accused of several corruption cases while he was the govewrnor, Kidero is still batling the cases.
