Ruto Reveals Another Key Thing He Did For President Uhuru In 2017

William Ruto said he urged Uhuru Kenyatta not to retire in 2017. This followed leaked recordings of the DP stating he would smack President Uhuru, who appeared ready to step down after the Supreme Court invalidated the election. Dr. Ruto said he ran the strongest campaign for Mr. Kenyatta and wouldn't concede to Mr. Odinga.

"I campaigned most. Before the President arrived, I'd have three rallies. I helped him because he's my friend and wouldn't allow Odinga to replace him. Early voters couldn't lose, so I was ready to push him, he added. The DP said Azimio leaders claimed he "pushed" the president in Kithirune and other cities.

"Azimo should abandon cons and hypocrisy. They now back Uhuru? You've never chosen him. We campaigned for him. We don't want President Uhuru's lectures. You can't know President Uhuru better than we did, he said. Dr. Ruto stated he had to encourage the President not to resign when the Supreme Court annulled the election results in Meru. "Did you want me to let him go? Did I force him? Wanted to stop us? I did nothing wrong convincing him to run. Dr. Ruto explained his election.

Ruto told supporters he should have challenged Odinga's move. I erred. I should've fought Raila. If I had, there'd be no crisis. "Flour prices wouldn't have soared" Rigathi Gachagua and Tharaka Nithi Senator Kithure Kindiki called Kenyatta a reluctant leader. Gachagua and Ruto helped Kenyatta win 1.8 million votes in 2002. Musalia Mudavadi was his 2013 choice. We told him not to resign. We voted for him. When Maraga caused trouble, he planned to surrender. Gachagua urged Ruto to keep their position.

The Mathira MP claimed Jubilee leaders should be blamed if Ruto encouraged Kenyatta to run. Prof Kindiki added, "We won't let individuals who haven't campaigned for Uhuru teach us about him." He won. Yes, he was reluctant to run. When Maraga ordered a rerun poll, Uhuru wanted to forfeit, but we said yes. Ruto, Kindiki, Gachagua, and staff owe Uhuru his presidency. Muturi advised Kenyatta not to join Azimio.
