While addressing Ganze Constituency residents in Kilifi County, DP Ruto revealed why Kilifi does not receive the right amount of money. He said that there was a formula that was introduced in the parliament to take some of Kilifi County's money and add to other regions including Uasin Gishu County which is DP Ruto's home.
"As Kenya's leader I decided that I will not accept to have this county's money reduced even if it is being added to my home because I know Kilifi has more problems than Uasin Gishu. Mwenye kusema pesa ya Kaunti ya Kilifi ipunguzwe ni huyu mtu wa kitendawili Raila. Let us tell each other the truth so that we can be set free."
The DP then donated Ksh350k to women who are involved in small business enterprises and one million shillings for food through Aisha Jumwa and the area's MCA. He promised to go back and donate more in case the area fails to get rain in the next few months.
