AG Paul Kihara Attempts To Gamble With The BBI In The Supreme Court

The Attorney General of the government, Mr. Paul Kihara is back to the limelight with an argument that the BBI is still something to be pursued by the Kenyan populace. The man has filed a supreme court case on grounds that he has identified three angles from which the BBI can be accepted as legal. He is doing this without the public endorsement of the president, and risks embarrassing the President's reputation. The man has said that the decision made by the Bench of the Court of Appeal Judges was not logical and that the BBI deserved more than the nullification.

The decision to Nullify the BBI was made yesterday, by a panel of Judges led by the Court's president, Justice Musinga. Almost all judges said that the BBI was unconstitutional and that the president faced a risk of being sued as he is not in a position to publicly promote a constitutional change.

The AG seems positive that his strategy will bear fruit as he is confident in his skills and his three reasons that he will present to the courts.
