
Raila Odinga and his running mate Martha Wangari Karua are the key leader who had been invited to attend a meeting that had been organized by church leaders drawn from the 47 counties across the nation today. The meeting was also attended by Karanja Kibicho who is an ally of Uhuru Kenyatta.

The meeting is aimed at discussing among other things the importance of a peaceful election in the August polls, with the church leaders making a passionate appeal to the leaders to ensure that they preach peace in the August elections.

Raila has been on the forefront advocating for peace in the coming poll as he continues to woo the region to vote for him in the coming election. Raila and Karua seen as a unifying factor in the coming days. The two leaders have set the ground rolling for other meetings with other aspirants including Ruto in coming dayscbefore elections.
