Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Shariff has reacted through his official facebook page hours after cabinet secretary for Trade Hon Moses Kuria paid his a visit in his Mombasa office.
According to him his meeting with the cabinet secretary for Trade Moses Kuria was implementation of joint projects.
"Our conversation around creation of jobs for the people of Mombasa is picking pace.
I received the CS for the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investments Hon. Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria as he came back to Mombasa to engage on the Technical Coordination Meeting on the implementation of joint projects.
We are putting in the work to actualize the County Government of Mombasa’s Mombasa Industrial Park that we expect shall create 10,000 direct jobs and 50,000 indirect jobs. As Governor, my focus is to prepare the young people of Mombasa for these forthcoming opportunities.
Furthermore, I shall play my part in supporting the National Government’s Dongo Kundu Special Economic Zone project that will open a myriad of opportunities to the Coast Region and Kenya as a whole". Said Hon. Abdulswamad Shariff Mombasa Governor.
