Away with the cold wind, A governor from the opposition-leaning county of Azimio who attended a retreat by his peers on Thursday and Friday said that One Kenya coalition party leader Raila Odinga is a man who is afraid.
The county head, who requested anonymity for reasons, said that Raila Odinga is worried about the expulsion of the four dissident IEBC commissioners, led by their vice chairperson Juliana Cherera, may backfire on him.
It has been pointed out that if Raila Odinga allows the removal of the Cherera four commissioners, as they are sometimes known, to proceed unchallenged, people may be less inclined to work with him in the future. If Raila Odinga runs for president again in 2027, he says, this will be even more relevant.
"He (Raila Odinga) fears that if he allows the process to continue and the four Commissioners are kicked out of the commission, this will work against him politically. Who would want to work with him, should he seek another stab at the presidency," the county boss stated.
