The Jubilee party deputy governor for Kirinyaga county, Hon. Peter Ndambiri has advised all the 2022 presidential aspirants on the person who has the key to Mount Kenya votes.
Through an information shared by TV 47, the deputy governor has maintained that the head of state and government, president Uhuru Kenyatta is still the undisputed kingpin of Mount Kenya region even as he serves his second and last term.
He told all the presidential hopefuls eyeing the support of the Mount Kenya region that their efforts will beat no fruit if they fail to receive a go ahead from president Uhuru Kenyatta.
"President Uhuru Kenyatta is our undisputed Mount Kenya leader. Let it be known by all and sundry who are looking for votes that they cannot make in-roads without his blessings," he said as quoted by TV 47.
His sentiment comes at a time all the presidential candidates are doing everything possible to win the trust of Mount Kenya people.
A number of them have even made several promises to the region with others also promising to pick their running mates from the region.
