Wednesday was a busy day for Raila Odinga as he continued with his Central Kenya tour. A day after successful rallies in Nyeri, both Raila and Martha Karau were in President Uhuru Kenyatta's backyard in Gatundu, Kiambu where they received warm reception by huge crowds
At one point, Raila Odinga was quick to defend the move by President Uhuru to ditch Deputy President William Ruto days after the duo won the 2017 general elections. According to Raila, Ruth was never in office but was out here campaigning leaving President Uhuru Kenyatta to work alone for Kenyans which was a very huge burden.
This thus saw the head of state to substitute DP Ruto with Cabinet Secretary for Interior Fred Matiang'i. This was evident when Matiang'i was made the Super CS where he would launch projects as well as do other duties which were designated for Ruto earlier as the second in command
