Ruto's Candidate Floors Raila Allied Governor Lonyangapuo in West Pokot in Latest Opinion Polls

Deputy President William Ruto's UDA candidate Simon Kachapin will defeat the incumbent Governor John Lonyangapuo if elections are to be held today in West Pokot county.

This is according to the recent opinion polls released by Mizani Africa research firm.

According to the opinion polls, Ruto's candidate Kachapin will defeat the Raila allied and Azimio la Umoja Governor Lonyangapuo by getting 47.6% as compared to Lonyangapuo who will come second with 44%.

Kanu's candidate who is also the county's deputy governorNicholas Atundonyang will come third with 8.3% rate.

In the senate race, the incumbent Samuel Poghisio of Kanu could be re-elected back to office with 58.3% preference rate. He will be followed by UDA's Julius Murgor in a distant second with 22.6%.

Lonyangapuo's candidate Geoffrey Lipale of Kenya Union Party (KUP) will come third with 20.7%

In the Woman Representative race, the Incumbent MP Lilian Lotuliatum of UDA party will carry the day with 52.4% preferance rate.

Lonyangapuo's candidate Catherine Mukenyang' will come second with 26.2% with Rael Aleutum coming third with 11.9%
