Court suspends Wanjigi Prosecution

Court suspends Wanjigi Prosecution

The Milimani Court has suspended the prosecution of Presidential candidate Jimi Wanjigi until February 9. This the court said will give time to verify the other court order issued earlier by the high Court of Kenya.

The businessman cum politician was presented to court today after spending the night in the police cells. He was arrested dramatically yesterday in a stand off with police for over 18 hours.

The police had to call in the anti terrorist police to help in breaking into his wetlands office before he was arrested. His supporters who tried to protest outside his office were dispersed by the police and teargas lobbed into the crowd.

Wanjigi blames politicians who are using the police to harass him because he has refused to support them. He says he is innocent. It remains to be seen and the truth to come out.

Wanjigi announced that he is vying for presidency in kenya through ODM against Raila Odinga who is the party leader.
