And now, sources within the ANC party have revealed that many meetings have been held with intends to win over Musalia's support for Raila's Presidency. Speaking to standard, the sources revealed that nothing concrete had been agreed despite the government having trained its guns on the ANC boss.
ANC to party Deputy Chairman Ayub Savula has confirmed the reports reiterating that indeed some powerful individuals within the government are building pressure on Mudavadi.
“That script is being fronted by some powerful individuals and government bureaucrats who are pushing Mudavadi and some of our members to support Raila, but we want to assure our supporters that his name will be on the ballot paper next year,” said Mr Savula.
It has been alleged that the efforts being undertaken by government and deep state are towards mounting a joint onslaught against the Deputy President.
The Deputy President, during his tour in Lamu revealed publicly that he's aware of the ongoing scheme and he'll confidently beat their fronted candidate (Raila) very early in the morning.
“I hear they are planning to gang up against me, and that all of them, including a former Vice President, are involved in that scheme. But if they bring Bwana Kitendawili, I will beat him early in the morning,” Ruto affirmed.
