Rigathi Gachagua Rubbishes Moses Kuria's Demands, Alleges Why Mt Kenya Don't Need DP's Position

Mathira Constituency Member of Parliament (MP) Rigathi Gachagua has fired back at Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria over his demands on Deputy President William Ruto or any other incoming government.

Kuria in conjunction with Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua and The Service Party (TSP) leader had came up with a list of demands after conducting a series of meetings in the region. According to them, any presidential aspirant seeking support from Mt Kenya region must agree to surrender at least 40% share of the government and his running mate must come from the region.

Kuria on Tuesday, 14th September, termed the two demands as the minimals which must be met. He further claimed that nobody is ready to fold their political party under one umbrella claiming that even Ruto's UDA is a Party under the umbrella of Huslter Nation.

Rigathi has however attacked him claiming that Mt Kenya people do not need the position of the Deputy President. Explaining his point, he claimed that the region has already suffered under the leadership of President Uhuru Kenyatta who hails from the region and therefore do not require any of the two top positions.

The fallout between Rigathi and Gachagua was first witnessed in Kiambaa by-election after Kuria fielded a candidate in the constituency, ready to face off with UDA's candidate. He however stepped down in favor of Ruto's candidate and Rigathi accused him of disloyalty.
