Junet Speaks After Being Accused of Stealing Relief Food Meant For Suna East People

Days after Raila allied MP Junet Mohamed was accused of allegedly getting involved in looting and diverting relief food meant for Suna East people, the MP has responded.

This comes three days after reports emerged that Junet, through his brother-in-law had conspired to steal relief food that was meant to assist the hunger-stricken residents of Suna East.

However, while speaking today in his constituency, Junet laughed off the allegations saying he had not taken part in diverting the relief food.

Without revealing more on what transpired, Junet said those who accused him of stealing are "wakora" who have allegedly looted from the county and national governments. He said Raila's government will deal with them and they will be send to jail.

"Kuna wakora walikua wamejitokeza wakisema hii chakula iliibiwa. Hii chakula imetumwa kwa wamama, vijana na wazee wa Suna East. Wakati wa wakora imeisha hapa Suna na Kenya. The corrupt who have stolen county and national money should be ready, the jail doors are opening soon," stated Junet Mohamed.

This is after a video emerged online of a truck offloading relief food at an undisclosed location in Suna East. It was alleged that Junet’s brother-in-law was caught on camera offloading the relief food from a truck and taking them to his stores for repackaging and later selling them to the public.

This got the attention of many Kenyans including Hustler Nation Intelligence Bureau spokesperson Dennis Itumbi, who came out to shame the Raila allied MP.
