Hon Ledama Speaks On The Political Parties Bill, Reveals The Newest Protocol For Party Nominations

Today has been a very busy and long day for Senators in Parliament. This is because they participated in the debate on the Political Parties Amendment Bill which was tabled in the House a couple of days ago. Some senators who were in Nakuru for the joint rally were forced to travel to the Capital City afterwards so as to participate in the main business of the Upper House.

After the debate which took a better part of today, various things revolving around the bill were passed. Senator Ledama Ole Kina of Narok County has taken to his official Twitter page to share with Kenyans on the newest protocol for party nominations. Things will not been as usual in political parties.

"With the passage of the political parties ( Amendment) bill by the Senate today… for you to participate in any elections nomination you must be a registered member of a political party and the registrar of political parties must certify as much." The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party tweeted.
