President Uhuru Kenyatta is approaching the end of his two term reign as head of State which started in 2013 followed by a reelection in 2017.

The Head of State is keen on leaving the office with a solidified legacy showing his achievements with the Jubilee administration throughout his two terms.

President Uhuru has this morning arrived at a Nairobi Hotel for a high profile meeting that brings together dignitaries from various countries in Africa.

The President is attending a high profile meeting dabbed the 39th Extraordinary Assembly of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) Heads of State and Government Summit.

According to an update by State House on the meeting, the meeting brongs together leaders drawn from across all the eight-nation bloc so as to discuss among other issues peace and security.

"His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta arrives at a Nairobi hotel for the 39th Extraordinary Assembly of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) Heads of State and Government Summit. Leaders of the eight-nation bloc that brings together Horn of Africa, Nile Valley and African Great Lakes countries are meeting to discuss peace and security and other regional priorities," reads an update by State House.
