Murathe in Hot Soup As He Faces The Public Investments Committee on Kemsa Scandal

Jubilee vice chairman David Murathe is facing the National Assembly Public Investments Committee (PIC) to explain his involvement in the Sh 7.8 billion Kenya Medical Supplies Authority(KEMSA).

According to PIC Murathe is linked to Kilig Limited a firm that got Sh 4 billion tender to supply personal protective equipments(PPEs).

Murathe indicated has indicated that he is not a director of Kilig. He revealed that he didn't get any contract with KEMSA.

"I am not a director of Kilig, I did not get a contract with KEMSA and I did not supply to KEMSA. Kilig is a company owned by people associated with the Deputy President, they approach people who can finance through the lawyer and transfer the company to the new owners." David Murathe lamented.

Members of Parliament still believe that Murathe's affidavit accepting that he was a signatory to Kilig's account at the Equity Bank is a clear indication that he is involved in the scandal.
