Embakasi North member of parliament James Gakuye says the president cannot run the government without numbers in both parliaments. The Jubilee elected member of parliament says that is the reason Ruto is buying legislatures from the opposition so that he can rule effectively. Gakuye was speaking in a breakfast show on TV 47 Kenya.
So far, several MPs from Azimio have crossed over to the government side after election. They include Ugenya MP David Ochieng of MDG party and Felix Jalang'o of ODM. Some Jubilee MPs like Sabina Chege had also came out clearly that Rigathi Gachagua is their leader in Mt Kenya and they must support him.
Former Kieni MP Kanini Kega who is currently an EALA MP also pledged to support the government of the day. It's clearly evident that there are Azimio leaders who are actually crossing over to Ruto's camp. However, there has never been a single MP witnessed decamping from Kenya Kwanza Alliance to Azimio coalition. The Embakasi North member of parliament says Ruto is using any mechanism to ensure he controls both the national assembly and the senate house. What your thought?
