It is now emerging that the former prime minister Raila Odinga and the Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i will be in Nyamira County tomorrow.Through his Twitter handle,Borabu Mp, Ben Momanyi has revealed that he shall be hosting the ODM leader Raila Odinga and security CS Fred Matiangi.
According to Ben Momanyi, Raila and Matiangi will help in the fundraising of building a tuition block to Mwongori high school which is not yet finished.In his statement, Momanyi revealed that several other national and local leaders are also expected to grace his fundraiser event for Mwongori High School to help them complete a tuition block.
"I'll be hosting PM Raila Odinga,CS Dr. Matiang'i, several national and local leaders at Mwongori High School tomorrow for a fundraiser. The institution is seeking to complete a tuition block. I take this opportunity to welcome all of you to Borabu. Raila Odinga Fred Matiangi" He stated.
Raila Odinga and CS Matiang'i have maintained a strong friendship amongst themselves and recently,CS Matiangi was recorded informing that "Many people are asking me where I am politically, what they should know is that where President Uhuru Kenyatta stands, I am just next to him and now he is working with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and I listen to their direction over many issues.
In my perception, it is good that our political leaders are working closely with citizens and extending a helping hand whenever they are needed, trying their best to help the poor and even initiating development projects.My prayer is that they keep on with the good work even after the elections.
