General Francis Ogolla has received some unfavorable news from the member of Parliament representing the Belgut Constituency and Chair of the Defence and Foreign Relations Committee in Parliament.
Nelson claims that one of those who attempted a coup and failed was the general who serves as the vice chief of the defense forces. He makes it abundantly apparent that everyone implicated will be prosecuted. Nelson Koech is a significant parliamentarian and a personal friend of President William Ruto. The strongest indication that Ruto wants to cover every possible angle comes from his declaration that he will ask for Francis Ogolla's prosecution in a court martial.
Although it is obvious that two IEBC Commissioners have resigned, the situation appears to be far from resolved. The others who may have attempted to undermine President Ruto may be prosecuted.
Francis Ogolla will only face a court martial because it is obvious that he is a military general. He is a person of interest, and it is obvious that he will have a difficult time for trying to sabotage the elections on August 9.
