Kitui governor Hon. Charity Ngilu now says President Uhuru adviced his deputy to sit in the office and work for Kenyans. Ngilu claims Dp Ruto ignored his boss (Uhuru). "I heard what the president said. He(Uhuru) told his deputy, please stop loitering around sit down and let's work. He (Ruto) told the president to do the work alone." Ngilu claims.
Addressing residents of Gatundu during Azimio rally on Wednesday July 6th, Ngilu said the Dp claims he was removed from office. According to Hon. Ngilu, William Ruto says he is still the deputy president of Kenya. "When walking around he claims he was removed from office. Even up to now he is saying he is the deputy president of the republic of Kenya."
Further, the Kitui governor added that Ruto was against Raila and Uhuru holding talks after 2017 general elections. Ngilu claims Ruto told president Kenyatta not to unite with the Azimio flag bearer. "When there was politcal rivary in the country, Raila told Uhuru he doesn't want to see bloodshed. Ruto said leave that man(Raila) alone to kill whoever he wants to. What kind of leadership is that?" Ngilu posed.
Hon. Charity Ngilu added that leaders who will take over in August after general polls, are those who will lead the country peacefully. Ngilu said Azimio La Umoja One Kenya led by Hon. Raila is the one which promotes unity in the country. "Those who are going to lead this country are those who are uniting Kenyans, that's why we are in Azimio La Umoja led by Raila Amollo Odinga. In his manifesto, the youths, mother's , civil workers have been involved and therefore those who are jobless will be employed." Ngilu added.
Kitui governor was accompanied by other Azimio leaders to Gatundu. Leaders present at the event were the former MP Hon. Peter Kenneth, Suna Eats MP Hon. Junet Mohamed, Mombasa governor Hon. Ali Hassan Joho among other leaders. The rally was captained by Azimio flag bearer Hon. Raila Odinga together with his running mate Hon. Martha Karua.
