A top government official badly embarrassed a former member of parliament (MP) after he kicked him out of his office for popping in without an appointment. The ex-MP in question has been having a rough time ever since he lost in the August 9, 2022, general elections.
According to sources privy to this development, the former lawmaker showed up at the office of this prominent government official and requested the secretary allow him to see the boss. Since he is a popular person, the secretary allowed him to go in even when he did not have an appointment.
Funny enough, the senior government official knows this former legislator. However, immediately after he entered his office, he asked him if he had an appointment. After admitting that he does not, he kicked him out, alleging that he had a lot of backlogs to clear that day.
The former parliamentarian was so embarrassed. He slowly walked to the bench at the reception and sat down. He sat there for hours, hoping the big man would change his mind and call him in, but in vain.
After a while, he quietly slipped out of the reception and left the premises after noticing that no one was bothering to talk to him, even junior employees.
Turns out, the ex-MP has been moving from one office to another begging for a job. The top government official who chased him away was aware, since he had been told by his other colleagues that the former MP visited them too.
One of the handlers of this ex-MP revealed that he wasted most of his savings on the campaigns, and he is currently struggling financially. He had to let go of his security team and other employees since he did not have money to pay them monthly.
