The NRM General Miguna has sent a powerful advice to Chebukati following his withdrawal from the election preparedness committee Chaired by Koome and Matiangi. According to Miguna, the Chair must remain firm and courageous to give this country a credible election by declining all efforts to interfere with IEBC independence.
Miguna is clear Chebukati has exhibited the courage that is deserved by rejecting efforts by the state to manipulate the next goneral election. He is clear Chebukati has proved leadership by rejecting efforts to manipulate his office by some state actors.
Miguna is clear those who want to manipulate the next elections through the deep state are now cornered. He is clear we cannot have some government officers trying to manipulate elections through a multi-agecy team.
Miguna is clear we cannot have some state actors trying to tell an independent IEBC on what to do ahead of the 2022 general election. Chebukati through a letter made it clear to Kibicho he had withdrawn from their election multi-agecy agency committee over the independence of the commission.
