Days of anxiety are far from over as the IEBC is taking its sweet time to ensure it delivers credible results especially for the President. As they are doing what the constitution asks of them, they have had election observers from several organisations keeping an eye to give their observations. Today, Uhuru Kenyatta hosted a number of them at State House where they flattered him with praise and congratulated him for maintaining peace and security in the country during this crucial time. As they went from polling to another, they say they now define Kenya as the epitome of democracy, seeing how everything was being ran in accordance to the constitution. Further, they commended him for running a country that implements digitisation in its systems. Notably, the observers say that these peaceful elections will be the one thing that his administration will be remembered and highly appreciated for.
The one remarkable statement from the President is when he told them, "The only anxiety witnessed has been that of anticipation but not of fear, " a statement that is nothing but the truth of the current situation.
