Amani National Congress Secretary General Barrack Muluka form his position as the Party's SG. In a statement written to his Party Leader Musalia Mudavadi. The former SG sited thatnhe was satisfied having served his party with dedication and there was need to give ANC space to make critical decisions on the population and leadership under the new Constitution .
Mr. Muluka further added that he had completed the tasks assigned to him like publishing Mudavadi’s biography and helping reorganize and strengthen the party and so it was time for him to seek new horizons.
“I doubt I could add more value to what I have done so far, more over it is not fitting that the space around you should be decongested, this will allow you to make critical decisions on the population and leadership,” part of the statement statement reads.
Muluka's resignation as the party's SG come as a big blow to the ANC party given that he was part of the party's Think tanks and treasured assets and thus it might affect the party in away considering the amends the party was working on as it gears towards 2022.
Part of the amends includes, changing part of to its Constitution that will see Musalia Mudavadi being barred from deputizing any person in 2022 and therefore handing Mudavadi an automatic 2022 presidential ticket.
The ANC party is yet to respond on Muluka's resignation even as the political class waits to see the person ANC will settle on as its next Secretary General.
