As the 2022 General elections are getting closer, various aspiring leaders will try to reach out to youths for their support on fulfilling their political ambitions.
This is the period of time where the leaders spend their money in campaigns, as they use youths to mobilise people to turn out for part registration, voters registration and also rally for their candidates. Several leaders manipulate these youths using money which entices youths rather than sell their development manifestos.
At the end of the day youths elect leaders who go missing only to be seen again over the campaign season. ODM aspiring Member of Parliament for Kamukunji constituency has come out to warn youths not to be enticed by the cheap things politicians offer only for them to waste their futures.
Hon Alinur Mohamed took to his Twitter where he warned the youths as he stayed:
"Youths need to be very careful as we head to the 2022 General elections. When these leaders come to you, listen to their manifesto. Asking for selfies and a few coins will not change your life. Let's be wise and look at the bigger picture."
This is a good advise from the youthful aspiring leader to the other youths who should open their thoughts and eyes on who they elect, because these leaders will either open up a brighter future or kill their hopes of becoming independent people.
