Kithure Kindiki and his village mates are no longer happy following what has happened. Many people were very hopeful that Kithure Kindiki was going to secure the second powerful post in the government. He was very optimistic after being given hopes by DP Ruto. According to him, he said that he was planning to vie for the gubernotorial seat in Tharaka Nithi.

Unfortunately, his hopes for becoming Deputy President were accelerated by DP Ruto luring him to surrender the gubernotorial seat and back DP Ruto. Right now, he is counting major losses as his dreams were unexpectedly cut short even after mist MPs voted for him. It is said that most MPs wanted him to be the running mate but DP Ruto went against them.

DP Ruto landed on Rigathi Gachagua as his preferred running mate because of a number of reasons. Meanwhile, this is what Gachagua's people expected since Saturday only to be disappointed but be surprised on Sunday.
