DP Ruto Fires Back Against Critics Claims That He Want to Take Kenyans Back to KANU Era

Deputy President William Ruto has fired back against his attackers claims that he want to take Kenyans back to Kenya's African National Union Party era, issuing fresh details.

According to DP Ruto, he has maintained that his main aim is to ensure that the United Democratic Alliance Party is not tribal expanding that he wants the party to have a national outlook to accommodate all Kenya irrespective of background.

The Second in Command has said that UDA has with it has a national face that will help boost national unity and help drive the national development agenda declining to the calls by a section of Mt Kenya leaders to form a coalition.

"We have elected to set up a national political party so that we can do away with the sticky issue of ethnicity in our country. This party with a national face will boost national unity and help drive the national development agenda," Deputy President Wiliam Ruto has said.

Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua has maintained that there is a need for leaders not to allow the next government to be formed through a one-party alleging that she knows the sufferings that come with such a move.

"I was a youthful leader of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) when we pushed the Kanu government to allow the introduction of the multiparty system in Kenya. We were oppressed at that time. Those who were not there cannot understand why we are reluctant, as Mt Kenya leaders, to fold up our respective parties," Ms. Karua said.
