Kenyans have until 3 pm on Monday to know who will be the next president elect according to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.
"The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission invites you to cover the announcement of presidential results on Monday , August 15th 2022 at the Bomas of Kenya from 3pm."IEBC announced.
Unlike previous elections, IEBC has been checking all forms 34A to ensure they are consistent with 34B which includes presidential results from all polling stations at the constituency level.
Mr Chebukati says all 34A forms from all polling stations must be delivered to him so that they can be checked and the results confirmed.
Mr Chebukati said that IEBC has taken between three and four hours to deal with one electoral officer from one constituency.
"Due to the process being carried out slowly, some election officials have been here for three days, which is unacceptable," Mr Chebukati said on Saturday while explaining to the country the steps his commission has taken to confirm the results of the presidential vote.
The heat has been rising in the Bomas hall, allies of the main presidential candidates, Deputy President William Ruto of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and Raila Odinga of the Umoja One Kenya Declaration accusing and blaming each other.
Mr Chebukati and the IEBC commissioners said that the behavior of the candidates' partners has been delaying the work of the IEBC officials to review and confirm the results.
