With ten months remaining to 2022 leaders, leaders are racing with time consolidating their political bases ahead of polls. Shifting of political allegiances is also evident in this time, leaders are making moves that will assist them defend their current positions from new entrants threatening their political futures while others seek to clinch to more powerful positions.
On Sunday 28th November 2021, Deputy President William Ruto who is a Presidential aspirant tour Kirinyaga County for a Sunday Service in Anglican Church of Kenya( ACK). He was welcomed by Kirinyaga County Governor Ann and Kirinyaga County Women Representative Hon Purity Wangui Ngirici, the two leaders are allied to United Democratic Alliance party and they are waiting to face off in party primaries in April next year.
After the service, Ruto held a rally in the county. He invited different leaders to address the country but one Lady stands strong, that was Wangui Ngirici. Her reception was electric. The crowd chanted " Wangui Tosha".
