Today,the Mount Kenya leaders led by Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua, Moses Kuria who is allied to DP Ruto, Mwangi Kiunjuri of TSP party and William Kabogo among other leaders, had a retreat in Naivasha.
The leaders talking to the press,said that their plans were to unite Mount Kenya region and not to talk about the 2022 succession politics.
And now William Kabogo,the former Kiambu governor has spoken hours after the meeting in Naivasha.
Kabogo confirmed he was among those who attended the meeting in Naivasha,under Mt Kenya Unity Forum Umbrella.He also said that they should be on the lookout before they lose as Mount Kenya region.
The leaders, drawn from various parts of the Mount Kenya Region, stated that they were working on a blueprint that would be distributed to all presidential candidates seeking votes in the region, which is known for voting in blocs.
The leaders who were in attendance also stated that their goal was to protect democracy while also ensuring equity in resource allocation and decision making.
