In the last three days the main news hitting headlines has been the story about three Venezuelan nationals who works for Smartmatic network providers, the company has been contracted by the independent electoral and boundaries commission to provide network in the polling stations ahead of the 9th August 2022 general elections.
Upon arrival of the company officials, they were arrested at the Jomo Kenyatta International airport by the police and probe was launched unto them and the materials they had were confiscated including election stickers and laptops, their arrested has seen an outcry one of the political camps and the IEBC as a plot to interfere with the elections.
Political Analyst Mutanyi Ngunyi has alleged that Smartmatic Chief Executive Officer admitted that they manipulated voter turnout in Venezuela by one Million votes, it is said that the Philippines government implicated Smartmatic for a criminal liability in their election and then charged its officials.
