Today President William Ruto has suspended the four IEBC commissioners namely, the Vice Chairperson Juliana Cherera, Justus Nyang’aya, Francis Wanderi and Irine Masit. All this has brought up some unclean air the opposition side of government.
The former Prime minister, Raila Odinga has spoken during a meeting with a section of ODM leaders and the other supporters. This was done at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Foundation in Upperhill, Nairobi today.
Raila Odinga now claims that President William Ruto is planning on how he will rig the 2027 elections early.
He added by saying that the formula used bey the president in appointing the commissioners today was not fair and not all about integrity but rather for personal interest.
“The events in parliament yesterday on the formula of appointing IEBC Commissioners and the hounding of the 4 Commissioners has got nothing to do with integrity, but about 2027. Ruto wants to rig 2027 election in 2022. We should not allow this to happen,” Raila quoted.
