President William Ruto has today appointed 20 judges of the high court after the JSC forwarded 20 names to him for approval.He then approved ( appointed) them and gazetted their appointment today.
JSC insists the judges were picked on merit,gender,regional balance and affirmative action.Having been appointed by president William Ruto,the 20 judges are supposed to be sworn into office.
Tomorrow president William Ruto will preside over the swearing in of the 20 high court judges in office.The event will also be led by chief justice Martha Koome who will swear them into office ready to work.
As the will be swearing in of the judges,Raila Odinga will be having his meeting at Kamukunji as planned earlier.Although it was pure demonstrations,Azimio have distanced themselves from any form of demonstration and insisted that they meeting will be a peaceful meeting.
The police have already given them the permit to meet at Kamukunji grounds tomorrow.
