The former independent electoral and boundaries commission (iebc) commissioner Dr Roselyn Akombe is a happy woman following her appointment to serve as chief of peace building strategy and partnership at UNDPPA.
Dr Akombe resigned as Iebc commissioner in 2017 following a disputed presidential election between the former president Uhuru Kenyatta and the former prime minister Raila Odinga. She fled the country the same year and went to USA.
Akombe on Thursday revealed through her official Twitter account that she was appointed to serve at the United Nations Department of Political and Peacebuilding Strategy and Partnership (UNDPPA).
Her appointment comes as she was recently working in the same organization for the past two years.
Through her official Twitter account, Dr Akombe said "Grateful for the appointment to serve as Chief of Peacebuilding Strategy and Partnership at UNDPPS. Love this beautiful view of New York City from my office, despite the cloudy & cold weather. Always grateful to God for his blessings."
