After attending a gathering with Azimio leaders in Kilifi, the Cabinet Secretary, Aisha Jumwa, informed Kenyans that the election campaign was already over and that politicians had come together to serve Kenyans.
Speaking at the Kilifi County Thanksgiving celebration, she declared that politicians had come together regardless of how they will vote in the general election in 2022. She provided evidence for her claim by claiming that she and the governor of Kilifi and former prime minister Raila Odinga did not sit together during the campaigns due to political differences. They were present at the event, nevertheless, along with the Kilifi governor and Raila Odinga. She claimed that this demonstrated how leaders have put the past behind them and chosen to cooperate.
In addition, she asserted that William Ruto is the legitimate president of Kenya. She added that even Raila Odinga would concur that Ruto is the current Head of State.
