Since the president and his Deputy William Ruto fell out after the Handshake in 2018, the cabinet secretary in charge of interior Dr Fred Matiangi has been carrying out a number of functions that were formerly done by Ruto.
On Wednesday, the super CS was in Qatar where he delivered a message of good will to the prime minister Sheik Halid.
Taking to his twitter account, Matiangi said that the two governments will sign a comprehensive peace agreement ancored on mutual interests.
The tweet elicited mixed reactions on-line with some kenyans saluting him Deputy president adding that Ruto is only a DP here in Kenya.
Others however reminded him that after next year's general election, Matiangi may not be enjoying some of these privilages.
As Matiangi was away in Qatar, the deputy president William Ruto was busy selling his bottom up economic model to his Supporters in Caren.
Taking to his twitter account, Ruto Reported how he held a consultative meeting with various youths from marsabit, Mandera and Garissa. He urged them to be at the center of the current political conversation.
The last time Ruto wanted to go out of Kenya to the neighboring Uganda was blocked at the airport in what the government said was due to lack of clearance from Statehouse.
