Deputy President William Ruto has always been on the forefront running campaigns from one county to another going deep to the grassroot level to address supporters in the villages and streets. This is exactly what is happening in in Nairobi where DP Ruto been moving from one place to another addressing in the residents. However, his tour in Dagoretti was brought to standstill for some hours.

The incident occurred at Mlango Saba in Dagoretti where police arrested some youths for posing security threats to DP Ruto. Police intervened swiftly as Bodaboda riders followed from behind. Police arrived in a Mercedes-Benz car and escorted DP Ruto as he passed through Mlango Saba street.

This is a street which has always been identified to be full of phone snatchers and thugs who raid people. DP Ruto was lucky because he was escorted by several men who granted in security as he penetrated through the streets.
