The court's order that the Jubilee mp aspirant for the Juja constituency pay IEBC and Juja mp George Koimburi 8 million shillings has dealt him a significant blow. This follows his withdrawal of a petition case challenging George Koimburi's reelection as Juja mp.
The majority of candidates for the Jubilee party in Mount Kenya made the decision to sue the UDA party for their victory as soon as the election results were announced.
The majority of them have since withdrawn the petitions and pledged to collaborate with Kenya's Kwanza government and president William Ruto. Aloise Kinyanjui may have decided to withdraw the petition because of his departure from Jubilee in November. The brother of Moses Kuria is Aloise Kinyanjui.
However, the move has suffered a significant setback as a result of the court's imposition of an $8 million fine, which was intended to be paid to IEBC and George Koimburi for the harm he caused prior to withdrawing the petition.
