Just in: GSU Elite Squad Takes Over at Ruto's Home Sugoi, More Details Revealed

The elite GSU unit has been dispatched to the residence of Deputy President William Ruto in Sugoi, Uasin Gishu County, after he was declared President-elect by the election body.

Prior to today, the residence was guarded by members of the Administration Police's Critical Installation Police Unit (CIPU). More than a dozen red berets have replaced the AP officers that were withdrawn.

After GSU officials assumed control of the mansion, they began to inspect every vehicle entering and leaving the property. Locals who had flocked to the spot to celebrate Dr. Ruto's victory slept outside the gate.

Ms. Linah Kiyeng from Kipkaren Salient in Nandi County was among those who spent the night partying after it was revealed that Dr. Ruto had won the presidential election.

"As soon as his victory was declared, we came here and celebrated all night. We are awaiting the return of the DP in order to celebrate together. In the interim, we will maintain watch here for up to a week," she stated.
