Uproar As ODM Camp Holds Behind Closed Doors Meetings

The election of the 5th President of the Republic of Kenya is only a question of time. With this is mind, President Uhuru Kenyatta's succession contest is quickly becoming more exciting, with many political groups and leaders launching their own manifestations. The 2022 presidential election is expected to be a two-horse race between the Orange Democratic Movement and the newly established United Democratic Alliance.

ODM leader in meeting with Mt Kenya leaders

Raila Odinga, the former Prime Minister of Kenya, has been to multiple meetings to discuss the possibility of succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The Deputy Party Leader of the Oramge Democratic Movement (ODM) held a high-profile closed-door meeting with a deligation in Nairobi on Thursday, November 25th, stoking suspicions about what the ODM and the deligation might be up to.


On Thursday, Governor Wycliffe Oparanya had a closed-door meeting with MPs from Kakamega County, chaired by National Assembly Majority Whip Hon Emmanuel Wangwe, in the County Liaison Office in Nairobi.

Governor Oparanya stated after the meeting that he convened the meeting with the MPs in order to strategize on how to ensure that the people make the best option possible in the next General Elections and become a part of the future government.

According to Oparanya, elected leaders should work together for the sake of their people's unity and development, regardless of their party affiliations. He summoned all of the County's elected authorities to ensure that everyone is on the same page as they embark on this trip.

Earlier on Sunday morning, the leader of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) held a high-profile meeting with elders at the mansion of Kakamega County Governor Wycliffe Oparanya, raising suspicions about what might be cooking ahead of the hotly contested State House race.

Before marching through Butere to populate Azimio la Umoja, Raila held a high-profile meeting with elders at Oparanya's Mabole home.
