In a short video which he posted on his facebook page, Musalia Mudavadi urged all the unregistered young and elderly people to take advantage of the ongoing national voter registration and register in large numbers for them to be able to exercise their constitutional right to vote and elect the leaders they believe in. He reminded all his supporters that if they don't go out and register in large numbers, his presidential ambition will only amount to wishful thinking and an exercise in futility.
There is a national voter registration going on in all poling stations and the Electoral and Boundaries Commission's (IEBC) offices in Kenya. The commission is interested in enfranchisement of the many Kenyans who are holders of a National Identity Card but are not yet registered as voters.
According to the Registrar of Persons data, there are hundreds of thousands of uncollected Identity cards lying in their offices, the Chiefs and Assistant Chief's offices across the country. IEBC, Registrar of Persons and civil societies and many more stakeholders are urging Kenyans to take the initiative and get themselves registered massively.
