During his speech, Mutua has recounted on a previous incident that saw DP Ruto sacked from the agriculture ministry he was heading despite the fact that Kibaki deemed him as his best minister.
"Jambo la kwanza Kibaki aliuliza ni but William Ruto is my best minister and Kibaki anajuana akiwa mbinguni. I'm speaking the truth he could not understand why William Ruto is targeted but now I understand because William Ruto was overworking," said governor Alfred Mutua.
According to Mutua, he has now realized that DP Ruto was helping more people something that was not received well by his opponents.
He then went on to add that if the late President Mwai Kibaki was alive, he would probably have voted for DP Ruto in the incoming general elections.
"He was serving in the ministry of agriculture better than anybody else mumeelewa? But he was going against the system because he was helping more people on the ground instead of perpetuating the top. Mnanipata watu wangu? So I know if Mwai Kibaki would be here today he would vote for William Ruto," added governor Alfred Mutua.
