Inside Ruto's Cabinet: A List Of Those Being Considered To Head Various Ministries

President William Samoei Ruto is in a rush against time to fully operationalize his Kenya Kwanza administration by appointing Cabinet Secretaries in what is seen as a tight balance to reword croniies and allies. In his balance, Dr Ruto has delayed naming of his cabinet as he looks at a way to balance the gender line in accordance with his ore election proclamation of reserving half of the Cabinet to women.

However, according to reports by The Star, Dr Ruto's Cabinet is facing possibility of defaulting on the gender pact as the list of possible nominees contain more men.

In the list published by The Star, Dr Ruto is considering Kandara member of Parliament Alice Wahome for the the Health ministry. Prof. Kithure Kindike, Simon Chelukgui, Kipchumba Murkomen, Aisha Jumwa, Aden Dwale, Kamau Thugge and Mithika Linturi are being considered for positions Interior, Water, Transport and Infrastructure, Tourism, Defence, National Treasury and Agriculture Cabinet Secretaries respectively.

The the report that positioned former Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi to become the Attorney General also has former Turkana County governor Josphat Nanok being considered to head Ministry of Petrolium and Mining, Ababu Namwamba for Foreign Affairs and Soipan Tuya for Labor dockot.

Dr Alfred Mutua, Ezekiel Macbogu and Okoth Obado are each being considered for Information and Broadcasting, Trade and Industries and Sports dockets respectively.

Chris Wamalwa closes the list of potential Cabinet Secretaries at a possible position of Public Service, Youth and Gender in an arrangement that would see ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi being appointed to the powerful Cabinet Chief Minister position.
